From the Pastor

On October 18, First Community is bringing back “Old Home Day.” This is a chance to re-connect with friends that you may not have seen for a while. In fact, I’ve asked Rev. Harvey Smith if he and Annie might be able to return and if he could preach that day. Unfortunately, they cannot make it. They are both fine, it’s just that they’re both feeling their age, so traveling this far is not practical.

Why am I telling you about an event five months away? Because I want you to put it into your calendar. My hope is that we’ll have as many members, former members, and friends of First Community as humanly possible. It would be wonderful if we could fill the sanctuary. (We came close, but didn’t quite do it on Easter.)

We’ll make sure we have on hand some old photos, good food (as usual), and memories. Feel free to bring any old photos and memories you may have.

There will be more details as they become available. In the mean time, be sure to save Oct 18 for Old Home Day!
