December 2007

From the Pastor

Back in September, I asked you to bring copies of your high school graduation pictures to church with you.  We posted them on the wall in the fellowship hall, and asked people to guess who was who.

It was a great success.  People had lots of fun, and it was surprising to see how many of us have changed so little since high school.  (I guess that’s a good thing.)

When it was all over, someone suggested that we try it with baby pictures.  We talked about it for a while, and we decided the best time to do it would be during December.  After all, during this month we celebrate the birth of the child born in Bethlehem.

Starting the first of this month, we’re asking you to bring a photocopy of your baby picture with you to church, and give it to me in an envelope.  I will then place it on the newsprint, which will be placed on the wall over the table in the fellowship hall.  Please make sure that your name does not appear on the picture.

If you have children that folks in the church would know, feel free to bring in their picture as well.  The pictures will stay posted on the newsprint through the end of the year.  Please make sure that you use a photo copy of your picture, as we’d hate to lose an original.  If you don’t have a photo copy, I’ll be glad to use the office copier to make one.
